ヘンリー王子とメーガン・マークルが結婚！世界が感動に包まれた結婚式（cinemacafe.net）

19日（現地時間）、ヘンリー王子とメーガン・マークルが、ウィンザー城の聖ジョージ礼拝堂で夫婦となった。結婚式のもようはインターネットでも生中継され、世界が2人の晴れの舞台を見守った。

メーガンのウェディングドレスは、「RALPH＆RUSSO（ラルフ＆ルッソ）」の説が濃厚だったが、当日にまとっていたのはイギリス出身のクレア・ワイト・ケラーがデザインしたもの。クレアはフランス「GIVENCHY（ジバンシィ）」の初の女性アーティスティック・ディレクターに選ばれた逸材だ。結婚式直前に父トーマスが心臓手術のため参列できなくなり、誰とバージンロードを歩くかに注目が集まっていたが、メーガンは義理の父となるチャールズ皇太子に付き添われ、歩を進めた。



参列者にはエルトン・ジョン、デヴィッド＆ヴィクトリア・ベッカム夫妻、ジョージ＆アマル・クルーニー夫妻やメーガンが長きに渡って活躍したドラマ「SUITS／スーツ」の共演者の姿が。




式の間はメーガンが終始うれしそうに笑顔を見せていたのとは対照的に、ヘンリー王子は厳かな表情だったのが印象的。感動のあまり涙ぐんでいるような姿も見受けられた。礼拝堂を後にする際、ようやく緊張が解けたのか、満面の笑みでメーガンと見つめあった。そして、2人は外で待ち受けていたファンたちを前に、ロイヤルキス。大歓声が上がった。
