山浦未陽監督「空はどこにある」が「田辺・弁慶映画祭セレクション2020」で公開(映画.com)

　昨年の第13回田辺・弁慶映画祭で初監督作品「もぐら」が映画.com賞を受賞した山浦未陽監督の新作短編映画「空はどこにある」が、11月20日からテアトル新宿で開催される「田辺・弁慶映画祭セレクション2020」で初上映されることが決定し、特報映像（https://youtu.be/ddpbfxGKofw）、ポスタービジュアル、キャスト画像が公開された。

　「空はどこにある」は、山浦監督のオリジナル脚本で、“母親に触れた記憶がない”母親が、子供の心に触れるまでを描くもの。母親に触れた記憶がなく、母親としての自分に不安を感じている美紀を演じるのは、自身も2児の母である安藤聖。娘・ちひろを演じるのは浅田芭路、美紀の姉・葉子を西田尚美が演じる。他に、湯田幸希、工藤孝生、堀春菜、野川彗、浅野令子、金井遼、矢部俐帆、磯つむぎ、小林璃音が出演。

　主演の安藤は「コロナ禍で一度中止になってしまった本作品が時間を経て公開できることになり大変嬉しく思っております。才能溢れる（しかもルックスまでイケている）山浦監督は、一回り歳を取っていて子育てもしている私が恥ずかしくなるほど、鋭く、繊細で、豊かな演出をしてくださいました。愛情表現が苦手な母と、そんなお母さんに触れていたい娘。すれ違ったりぶつかり合ったりする毎日は、本人たちにとっては大問題。傍から見ると愛おしく思ったりするものです。人と人との関わり合いの温かさを感じ取ってもらえる映画だと、私は思います」とコメント。ちひろ役の浅田も「観てくれた人が、なつかしい気持ちとか、味とか、思い出してくれたらいいなって思います」としている。

　製作は、「新聞記者」の藤井道人監督が設立し、今年10周年の映像レーベル「BABEL LABEL」。これまでテレビドラマ「日本ボロ宿紀行」制作や、映画「LAPSE」などのオリジナル作品を発表している。10人のディレクターが在籍していたが、11月10日には採用応募数約100名の中から選ばれた新監督5人が加入し、新体制で映画、ドラマ、映像作品の制作に注力していくとしている。

　「田辺・弁慶映画祭セレクション2020　山浦未陽監督DAY」は11月25日から28日の3日間。デリヘルで働く女性とドライバーが抱える孤独を独自の視点で映し出した「もぐら」との併映で、舞台挨拶や上映後には山浦監督、キャストらによるトークショーも行われる。
