　これを前にKBSは16日、サユリが日本で3200グラムの男児を出産したと報道。サユリは日本の精子バンクで精子の提供を受けたと伝えられた。

　昨年10月、産婦人科を訪れたサユリは卵巣年齢が48歳との診断を受け、早いうちに出産することを決意した。しかし、焦って結婚するわけにはいかないと考え、自ら未婚の母になることを選んだと伝えられている。

　韓国では、自らシングルマザーを望む女性が精子提供を受けて妊娠および出産することは「違法」との事実が改めて話題にのぼると、それ自体が議論の中心になっている。

　あるネットユーザーは、韓国では未婚女性に対する精子提供が違法という内容について「あり得ないことだ」とし、「毎日のように韓国での出生率が低下しているとニュースになっているのに、それはつまり未婚女性に精子提供ができない国だった（ということ）」と批判した。

　一方で、主婦のハン・ソンウクさん（58）は「サユリさんの選択は尊重する」としながらも、「ネガティヴな言い方をするわけではないが、母親・父親”各自の役割”があると思う。私の世代ならば、おそらく全員がそう考えるだろう」と意見した。
